ALL-IN Sports Club 4v4 Volleyball Rules

League Format

• Matches are played in a best of 3 format within a 45 minute time limit
• First two sets are played to 21 points using rally scoring
• First two sets have a hard cap at 23 points
• Third set, if needed, is played to 15 points using rally scoring
• Third set has a hard cap at 17 points
• If time expires during the third set, the team with the higher score wins the set
• If time expires during the third set with the score tied, the set ends in a tie
• Officials will keep the official game clock and final score

Team Requirements

• Teams are required to have a minimum of 6 players on their roster
• Only 4 players are required on the court during gameplay
• Teams must have at least 1 female and at least 1 male on the court at all times
• Teams unable to field 4 players at game time may forfeit the match
• Substitutions are allowed during regular season games only, not playoffs.

Serving Rules

• Serves may be made overhand or underhand
• Players may serve from anywhere behind the back boundary line
• Serves that contact the net and continue over are live and playable

Gameplay Rules

• Rally scoring will be used for all sets
• Teams are allowed up to 3 touches before returning the ball over the net
• A block counts as one of the team’s three touches, but a joust does not.
• Players may not catch, carry, or throw the ball
• Players may contact the ball with any part of the body
• A ball touching any boundary line is considered in bounds
• Players may cross under the net as long as they do not interfere with the opposing team

Rotation & Positioning

• Teams must rotate clockwise before each new serve after winning back possession
• Players must maintain serving order throughout the match
• No positional restrictions once the ball is served

Coed Rules

• Teams must maintain at least 1 male and 1 female on the court at all times
• Coed teams are encouraged to involve all players during play and maintain good sportsmanship

Time & Forfeits

• Game time is forfeit time
• Teams unable to field the minimum required players at game time may forfeit the match
• A short grace period may be allowed at the official’s discretion if another match is ending on the same court

Sportsmanship

• Respect officials, opponents, teammates, and spectators at all times
• Excessive arguing, abusive language, threatening behavior, or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in warnings, point penalties, player ejections, or removal from the league
• ALL-IN Sports Club reserves the right to remove any player or team for repeated misconduct

Sand Volleyball Specific Rules

• No hard objects, jewelry, or unsafe equipment may be worn during play
• Players are encouraged to play barefoot or in appropriate sand volleyball footwear
• Teams are responsible for cleaning up their bench area after matches

Final Notes

• Officials have final say on all gameplay rulings
• ALL-IN Sports Club reserves the right to adjust rules as needed for league flow, safety, weather, or fairness throughout the season
